A Comprehensive Guide to Visa Requirements for the Netherlands Conference Delegates

It is the responsibility of the delegates to investigate and apply for visas if required. If you wish to attend the conference in the Netherlands for less than 90 days, you may need to apply for a short-stay Schengen visa, depending on your nationality. To apply for the visa, delegates should contact the relevant Dutch embassy, consulate, or representing consular Schengen office in their country of residence. It's important to note that visa application regulations may vary from country to country.

Important Details

The need to apply for a visa is determined by the delegate's nationality. In most countries, visa applications should be submitted to an external service provider's office. In some countries, the Netherlands is represented by another Schengen country for visa affairs. You can find the complete visa application process and requirements, as well as a list of Dutch diplomatic and consular offices authorized to issue visas, via this link.

Visas for Conference Attendees

For attendees who require a visa, they must obtain and submit an official letter of invitation from the conference organizers. Please note that the letter of invitation is only available to registered delegates who have paid or had their attendance approved.

Letter of Invitation

Delegates requiring an entry visa should consider the timing of their visa applications and contact the nearest Dutch embassy, consulate, or representing consular Schengen office. The letter of invitation can be obtained by following these steps:

  • Register for the conference and log in.
  • Click on your name at the top right corner to reveal a drop-down menu.
  • Select 'My Profile' from the drop-down menu and proceed to your account profile.
  • Click on the blue 'Generate Visa Letter' button.
